Gridlock Analytica proudly offers it's indigenous and first in Nigeria MetroBlock Building Sysytem (MBS). This interlocking block system works well for all building types and is excellent for social housing. The system delivers on cost, speed, quality and durability and is cheaper than conventional building methods.

In order to achieve this Gridlock Analytica is offering a revolutionary new building system that has the potential to cut costs by up to 10% on new builds.

Besides our proprietary METROBLOCK Building System (MBS) which offers a safer, simpler, more cost effective solution for creating structures, spanning from simple buildings to entire cities, Gridlock continues to research and innovate on the entire building process.
The Metroblock Building System - (MBS)
A system of 7 blocks articulate through mortar-less stacking to achieve walls and openings.
The point of articulation is a tight-fit that is further strengthened with reinforcements spaced intermittently throughout the walls. The system provides service channels for the installation of these reinforcements as well as electrical/plumbing and ICT pipes.

THE METROBLOCK BUILDING SYSTEM - (MBS)
METROBLOCK is a building system, designed and developed in Nigeria and configured to deliver high quality and durable affordable housing through an efficient process that cuts construction time, reduces wastes and generates employment.

The METROBLOCK Building System Technology uses 7 basic block units to form walls and openings. A service block variant of the standard block is designed to access electric and plumbing pipes and wall fixtures.

The METROBLOCK Building System delivers on quality, time, cost and offers the following advantages:

BUILD FASTER - The system cuts construction time by 50%.

NO NEED FOR MORTAR - Blocks do not require mortar at joints as they are designed to interlock.

NO NEED FOR EXPENSIVE SKILLED LABOUR - Blocks are self-aligning and do not require skilled labour. Anyone can build with these blocks with minimal training.

SEISMIC RESISTANCE - Reinforcements run through walls giving them strength and the mechanical framework necessary for tensile and compressive integrity.

LONG SERVICE LIFE - 20 years maintenance-free, at least, on the building’s fundamental structures.

They articulate in a tight fit at mortar-less joints offering both vertical and horizontal resistance.

Service blocks allow for easy access to pipes and installation of fittings.

Corner blocks are sturdy with double channels for bigger reinforcements.

The system has excellent acoustic and thermal qualities owing to it’s double facing wall.

METROBLOCK double crab-like grip gives it exceptional strength and stability.
LINTELS AND AC OPENINGS.
As proof of it’s ability to respond to local building preferences, the system has a series of lintels that seamlessly lock with blocks as well as openings for AC units.
These features are not available in other similar building systems from other parts of the world. It shows how the METROBLOCK can be adapted to local preferences.
ADAPTING CONVENTIONAL BUILDING PLANS TO THE METRO SYSTEM.
Any conventional building plan can be adapted to the METROBLOCK Building System. Our design and adaptation system ensures standards and specifications are met for all projects.

CHANGING HOW WE BUILD IN NIGERIA
Gridlock Analytica will take delivery of its MBS hydraulic block machines in the last quarter of 2021. The machines will form the arrow head for our launch into the real estate sector.
